Earlier this month I took part in the Open Studios event together with Fiona Armer who is a Marine Artist/Yachtswoman/Fell runner and lovely person! We had a fairly steady stream of visitors who seemed to enjoy the artwork which was hung in the Sunday School room as well as the studio spaces. Although the only sales I made were for postcards, I met some agreeable people, both local and not so local; one lady was visiting from Vancouver!
Some of the comments:
"Really lovely, calming and still"
"Serene and lovely"
"A happy half hour"
"Love your chairs and little carafe"

Here are a few shots of work in progress prior to the Chapel doors being open to the public. And a few general ones of the large Sunday School room. The fourth of these shows some of Fiona Armer's larger paintings hung high on the old and slightly crumbling walls. And there's a promise of music made by the empty chairs and lonely stand.
