On Sunday 15th September from 1 - 5pm, Wainsgate Chapel is opening its doors to all, giving you the opportunity to visit the studios and also to look around this superb Grade II listed building, the adjacent Victorian Sunday School and the fine characterful churchyard nestling high in the hills above the bustling Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge.
Organ music throughout the afternoon with a recital at 2pm by Professor David Baker
Author Charles W Thomson with Jenny Freeman, previously director of the Historic Chapels Trust will launch a new history and guide to the Chapel at 3pm
Live music on the Sunday School stage by Dave Nelson and friends
The Wadsworth Environment Group will be serving tea and cakes throughout the afternoon
Local history exhibition
OPEN STUDIOS and woodcarving workshops
Doors open at 1pm and performances continue until 5pm
The limited parking is reserved for disabled drivers, please walk up to the Chapel or park on the main roads
