So, after a nice positive experience (again) at Waterside, my paintings will return to Wainsgate Chapel. If you didn’t manage to catch the exhibition and would like to view the work on show plus other completed work and work in progress, please email me to arrange a visit.

AN EXHIBITION OF WORK BY ANNA GIBSON AND DEBORAH WILKES
My newest work is on display at the Gym for just one more week. Deborah and I will be taking down our work on Thursday 31 October. Here's a list of my paintings: "Warm Shoes" - giclée print of an oil painting A photo' of this painting before framing may be seen on my 'Artwork' page "Small Shoes" - oil painting "Table" - acrylic painting "Coal Shoes" - oil painting "Calm III" - acrylic painting "Cloth Shoes" - a giclée print of an oil painting This painting may be seen on my work table in the July '13 blog post about the Hebden Bridge Open Studios. And here's my 'artist's statement': The space between objects and the illusion of form on a 2D surface are the things that interest me. The subjects that resonate have to do mainly with interiors and domestic everyday items. In the frozen moments within a painting, I am portraying my contemplation of the present with perhaps traces of some other time. |
