I found myself at Carrières de Lumières, at the heart of the Alpilles near Avignon this week and was struck by echoes from my little painting, 'A Built Environment'. Carrières is an old limestone quarry which has been cleverly reassigned as an exhibition/performance space. Although it doesn't really do justice to the spectacle that I enjoyed, here's a picture I surreptitiously took on my mobile (photography not allowed even though lots of people were flashing away!).
