Thoughts on closing the Waterside Gym exhibition

Sadly, it is time to clear the walls at Waterside to make way for the next exhibition. My part of our little show was dominated by paintings on the theme of empty shoes. I like to work on themes and the obvious link of absence/loss is present in both these series. My previous theme, in which chairs were of importance to me, is one that I will no doubt revisit. 

So, after a nice positive experience (again) at Waterside, my paintings will return to Wainsgate Chapel. If you didn’t manage to catch the exhibition and would like to view the work on show plus other completed work and work in progress, please email me to arrange a visit.
